Dr. Sharankumar Shetty is an experienced and dedicated Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist with extensive expertise in treating various conditions related to the head and neck region. He holds a Master of Surgery (MS) in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) and a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology from Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS). He further pursued a specialized MCh degree in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi, Kerala.
Dr. Shetty's career began as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery, ENT, at Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences in Andhra Pradesh. He later served as an Associate Professor in the same department before joining AIMS as an Associate Professor in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Head & Neck Surgical Oncology at AIMS.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shetty has actively contributed to the medical field through research and publications. He has several notable publications on various topics related to head and neck oncology and has presented his work at various national and international conferences. Dr. Shetty's clinical skills encompass a wide range of ENT surgical procedures, including micro ear surgeries, Stapedectomy, and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS). His specific interest and expertise lie in head and neck malignancies, and he has extensive training and experience in head and neck reconstruction using free flaps and pedicled flap.
